This government sponsored website provides listings of clinical research studies for all diseases, and gives contact information. This resource also provides valuable information on the clinical trial process.

The National Institute of Health provides health information, grants, funding opportunities, news, events, and scientific resources.

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes provides information of neurological disorders and research.

Parkinson Disease

American Parkinson Disease Association, inc

The APDA provides direct patient and caregiver support.

Connecticut Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association

National Parkinson Foundation

Founded in 1957, the NPF seeks to improve the quality of care for people with Parkinson’s disease through research, education and outreach.

Parkinson’s Disease Foundation

The PDF funds research to find the causes of and a cure for PD. They also support people with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers through educational programs and support services.

The Worldwide Education and Awareness for Movement Disorders is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to increase awareness of movement disorders among healthcare professionals and the public. The site provides information on movement disorders and treatment options.

The Society’s mission is to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure, and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS.

Alzheimer Disease

Alzheimer’s Foundation of America

This nonprofit organization seeks to provide care and services to individuals confronting dementia, and to their caregivers and families through member organizations.

This organization provides information and support, funds research, and promotes brain health.

Huntington Disease

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes

Huntington’s Disease Society of America

They provide education, an annual conference, in-services to nursing homes and other settings; advocacy for increased home care services in the community; support via social workers, support groups, genetic counseling, and outpatient clinics, as well as research efforts fore treatment and towards a cure.

Coordinates and provides enrollment for drug trials across the United States, Canada and Europe.
